After three full years of bucking the trend and keeping our prices the same, the economy has finally caught up with us, and we need to raise our prices accordingly. Above and beyond three years of inflation, the Consumer Price Index reveals the overall price of food rose by 5.9% this January 2008 compared to the year before, and Flour and Eggs have both increased in price by 27.8% and 24.2% respectively, February 2008, compared with last February. As a business, we have certainly been feeling the pinch.
Therefore, starting in July 2008, we will be raising the price of our Full Afternoon Tea to $27.00 per person on weekdays (Tuesday through Friday), and to $28.00 per person on Saturdays.
